UPDATE: Millennium Trail upgrade – October 4

The next phase of the Millennium Trail upgrade project is underway.

• This phase of upgrades will occur where the trail crosses Sandy Hook Road to Lake Street in Picton, plus a spur that comes to Highway 33 and a spur to Upper Lake Street.

• Upgrades on this approximately 4-km stretch of the trail will begin on Thursday, October 4. Work is expected to continue for approximately one week.

• This section of the trail will be closed during the upgrade work and will be marked appropriately.

• To improve the surface of the Millennium Trail for the benefit of all users, construction crews will be grading, applying 6” of limestone screenings and rolling the surface of the trail.

• The Millennium Trail Rehabilitation Ad-Hoc Committee, which includes representatives from the County of Prince Edward and the Prince Edward County Millennium Trail Committee, is facilitating the project.
