NOTICE: Update on snowplowing activity February 6

Crews have worked throughout the day on Wednesday, February 6 sanding/salting roads and sidewalks in the County.

• A freezing rain warning remains in effect for Prince Edward County. Heavy freezing rain will accumulate quickly today, even on treated surfaces.

• Crews will sand and/or salt all primary roads (Level 1) throughout the night.

• Crews assigned to secondary roads (Level 2) will continue treating those surfaces until 8 pm.

• If you are travelling, drive according to weather conditions and give snow plows lots of space as they clear the roads. 

• Snowplowing crews continue to monitor weather and adjust operations as required.
