Bridge inspection work planned for Oct. 18-20

In order to undertake deck condition surveys, there will be lane reductions on Black River Bridge and Outlet Bridge Oct. 18-20.

• The survey of Black River Bridge – located on County Road 13 approximately 150 metres south of Morrison Point Road – will take place between the hours of 7 am and 7 pm on Wednesday, Oct. 18. In the event of inclement weather conditions, work will continue on Thursday, Oct. 19.

• The survey of Outlet Bridge – located on County Road 18 approximately 2.3 kilometres south of County Road 11 – will take place between the hours of 7 am and 7 pm on Thursday, Oct. 19. In the event of inclement weather conditions, work will continue on Friday, Oct. 20.

• During the surveys, traffic will be restricted to one lane over the bridges using manual flagging.

• The County has retained Ainely Group to conduct the surveys in order to determine and document the condition of the bridges. This information will be used to develop a rehabilitation scope and preliminary construction cost estimate for each bridge.
