Ice Rentals

The County of Prince Edward manages and operates two arena facilities. The Prince Edward Community Centre (PECC) is located at 375 Main Street, Picton and the Wellington and District Community Centre (WDCC) is located at 111 Belleville Street, Wellington. Our Junior A Hockey Club "Wellington Dukes", and our Empire B Junior C Hockey Club "Picton Pirates", provide opportunities for residents to watch exciting competitive hockey.

There are also opportunities for adults, from beginner to advanced, and from young adult to senior, to participate in womens and mens leagues.

Ice is available to rent as follows:

Public Skating & Shinny Hockey

Public skating sessions provide adults, youth and families the opportunity to enjoy the great Canadian past-time of ice skating. Regular physical activity is one of the best methods of Health Insurance for both the young and old. Ice-skating is for everyone, come on out and join in on all the fun. No assistive devices (chairs, strollers, pylons, etc.) are allowed except for persons with physical challenges. Children 5 years of age and under must wear helmet and be accompanied by adults.

Weekday family skating sessions provide a slower paced opportunity for those learning or wanting some recreation. Adults, seniors and those with disabilities are most welcome. These opportunities are available for adults to spend quality time with youth in a safe, quiet environment. Skating assists deemed safe by our staff will be permitted so long as usage does not compromise safety of others. Children must wear a helmet.  A full face cage is recommended.

The County will be running Shinny Hockey and Ticket Ice times at both the Wellington and District Community Centre and the Prince Edward Community Centre.

For an up-to-date schedule for public skating, shinney hockey and ticket ice times at both arenas, please see below or download our ‌April 2017 Public Skating Schedule‌.
